The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency reported it truly is alarmed regarding the large amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The service stage produced for intervention ordeals a high inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this sassa status reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to allow the status sassa servicing of all customers and maximize use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
